譚盾，作曲家，1958年出生，湖南人。1986年畢業(yè)于中央音樂學院研究生院，1986年獲美國哥倫比亞大學獎學金,赴美國哥倫比亞大學，隨大衛(wèi)·多夫斯基及周文中學習并獲得音樂藝術博士學位。他獲得了1983年德里斯頓·韋伯爾作曲比賽二等獎。被新聞界、藝術界稱為“新潮音樂”、“先鋒派音樂”、“崛起的一代”中
