Tiepolo was an inspiring Rococo-artist from Venice for Ben Vollers in the period of 2002 - 2005. It were mainly the skies from Tiepolo's ceiling paintings which were inspiring for Ben Vollers then, with its characteristic atmospheres and emptiness.This started with a visit by Vollers to Venice where he saw several Tiepolo's in the flesh.
