作為科幻作家，理查德·摩根對(duì)未來(lái)的看法十分悲觀。這種觀念也許來(lái)自他對(duì)歷史的研究。在一次采訪中，他明確表示：“人類社會(huì)現(xiàn)在是、過(guò)去是、將來(lái)也必然是以壓迫、剝削大眾為目的的存在。”
