Ian Chen was born on September 7, 2006 in Los Angeles. Prior to playing Evan Huang as a comedic actor in "Fresh Off the Boat", he also appeared in "Grey's Anatomy" for a dramatic role. Ian started his acting career after booking his first commercial job when he was 5. He loves being on set to learn about all aspects of the filming process. During his free time, he enjoys playing with airplane models and friends, singing, watching TV, and reading. He wants to be an airline pilot when he grows up.
