Ben Bowie

Producer | Director | Writer Formerly Managing Director and Creative Director of world-renowned Darlow Smithson Productions in London, Ben Bowie is a writer, director and executive producer with over 25 years experience. His theatrical feature, Hawking kicked off SXSW in 2014, wining the Grand Jury Prize at Jackson's Hole. Naledi: A Baby Elephant's Tale was nominated for an Emmy and the Seattle International Film Festival, Best Documentary award. Ben specializes in high-end factual documentaries, long running series, feature documentaries and high impact specials. He has conceived and produced dozens of hours of programming for PBS, Nat Geo, Discovery, Channel 4 and the BBC. Recent credits include Hubble's Cosmic Journey for Nat Geo and Stephen Hawking's Favourite Places for Curiosity Stream which won an Emmy for its visual effects. Ben lives in East Sussex, UK with his family.
